A note from Steve: "Longtime radio personality (and an old friend) Helen Leicht at Philadelphia’s WXPN tells me “Tryna Let It Go” off my new album, The Magic Tree, is a standout track. I decided to give it some attention and created this simple lyric video.

At first I thought I’d scroll the lyrics over swirling fake snow inside of a snow globe. I borrowed one from a thrift store on Main Street in Keyport, New Jersey. Visually, however, that repetitive sort of concept turned out to be pretty freakin’ boring.

Film director George McMorrow was with me and offered (in a pinch) to use his fabulous new DJI Osmo camera to film my returning of said snow globe. Not exactly Michael Jackson’s “Thriller,” but, hey, it’s just a lyric video!

Since this wintry-sounding track hasn’t been one of our radio focus tracks thus far, here’s a way for people to find out about it."
