Parasympatholytics: The drug, which opposes the effects of acetylcholine by blocking of Muscarinic (MR) receptors is called anticholinergic or antimuscarinic drugs.
Atropine or Scopolamine (Belladona alkaloids) are the main Anticholinergic drugs.
(1) Natural Alkaloids: Atropine, Hyoscine
(2) Synthetic and Semisynthetic:
(i) Mydriatics: Homatropine, Cyclopentolate, Tropicamide
(ii) Antisecretory and Antispasmodics: Oxyphenonium, Dicyclomine, Propantheline, Pipenzolate, Isopropamide
(iii) Bronchodilators: Ipratropium, Tiotropium
(iv) Urinary Bladder Relaxant: Flavoxate, Oxybutynin, Tolterodine
(v) Antiparkinsonian: Trihexyphenidyl, Procyclidine, Benztropine, Biperiden
