Far Cry 6 is arguably the biggest release of 2021. And I’m not just talking about the hype. The game itself is massive, and as such, it can be a bit overwhelming. Whether you want to cruise through the story, or explore all the side content, I’ve discovered a few tips in my first week with the game that I think will help you get the most out of your experience. With that, I want to offer a sincere thanks to Ubisoft for providing a pre-release copy of the game. Now, if you’re jumping in for the first time, or you’ve been playing for a while and want a few helpful pointers, I hope you’ll join me as I share 14 essential tips to help you get the most out of Far Cry 6.

Before we begin, here’s a fun fact. Of all of my viewers, only around 4% are actually subscribed to my channel. That means that the next time I post a video just like this, 96 percent of my viewers won’t get notified. So if you do enjoy this video and you want to watch others just like it, like the video I plan to make covering stealth tips in Far Cry 6, consider subscribing. Or heck, even share it with a friend. Or, if you think this video is, you know, total crap, let me know in the comments. And with that, let’s get into it.

Use your Supremo backpack can take out helicopters
When I encountered my first enemy helicopter in Far Cry 6, I asked myself, how the hell am I supposed to deal with this? Well, I was able to deal some incremental damage with my basic weapons, but it wasn’t until it occured to me that maybe I could use the heat seeking rockets from my Exterminador supremo backpack. Anyhow, needless to say it worked like a charm. By the way, I’m pretty sure if you have a sniper rifle equipped with Blast Rounds, which can penetrate bulletproof windshields, you can snipe the pilot straight out of the sky. That said, the easy way is definitely to just take a knee and let your Supremo rip.

Fast track past the opening area
Now this isn’t necessary, but hear me out. In a lot of open world games, it can be tempting to spend a lot of time in the opening area learning the game’s mechanics and just getting a general feel for things. And you might be tempted to do just that in Far Cry 6. The game drops you off on an isolated island, and if you want, you can spend a good 4 or 5 hours here exploring everything. But I’d recommend breezing through the story segments here, then making a B-line for the main island of Yara because it’s not until you get off this smaller island that you’re introduced to the majority of the game’s content, and other features. These include your Supremo backpacks, Supremo weapons, tons of side activities, and most impactful, Guerrilla Camps, which you can upgrade to unlock even more side activities and some major gameplay perks. So, what are those gameplay perks? Well there’s more than I can cover in this video, but I do want to talk about three Guerilla Camp upgrades that I recommend unlocking first.
