Aura Cynthia, NC Cheren and Lodge Serena Clear Thorton's Freezing Frost (Ultimate Battle) | PMEX

Dunno, I think the best way of displaying Master Fairs these days is in UBs. My initial target was Anabel. I had a decent run going with Anniversary Skyla + SS Mina, but I lacked the pressure needed to clear before 2nd sync, which necessitates a third Rain Dance. If I have to bring SS Kris I might as well go somewhere else.

NC Cheren has a good Thorton match-up in theory because Rebuffs. Cheren chunks early game extremely well, and Fly chips down Thorton lategame. Anniversary Skyla wasn't working too well because she couldn't debuff Atk consistently; everyone has Friend Care to clear Confusion, thus disabling Disarm. After assessing my options I figured Lodge Serena covers similar gapfills: Atk drops, Reflect and a physical nuke for lategame.

NC Cheren and Lodge Serena counter Thorton so well any meta Support can cover for them. I went with Aura Cynthia because I wanted to demonstrate that the Support just has to help the party survive - they don't need antigimmicks of any kind. Regardless, Aura Cynthia is very much the weak link of the party. You could run NC Blue, NC Rosa or Bellelba for better results. Elaine, Anabel or Variety Falkner could also work idk.

This clear was tight because I had to run Skill Gear to push my offense a bit. I won because I got bailed from the 50% sync crit, but I could've won beforehand had not two things occurred: I choked at 2:16 with the greedy Vacuum Wave because it prevented me from performing a quad-queue, and the Blizzard crit at 4:30 prevented Serena from casting a couple more Flame Charges which should've been enough. Normally I would rerecord over things like this, but I got the right RNG elsewhere, and you could bring another Support to improve consistency.
