YNW Melly's High Profile Double Murder Retrial Gets Trial Date

A judge sets a trial date for YNW Melly’s retrial. The Florida rapper whose real name is Jamell Demons is accused of shooting and killing his childhood friends Anthony Williams and Christopher Thomas Jr. in October of 2018 and staging the murders to appear as if it’s drive-by shooting. The rapper’s first trial ended in a mistrial after the jury failed to reach a unanimous verdict and there have been numerous delays ever since.
