"Iki Town (Night)" from Pokemon Sun and Moon is originally composed by Minako Adachi. I do not claim any ownership of the composition - only the arrangement and the audio.

Alola! Welcome to my entry for the #SoundoleChillOut2023 contest! This is a unique arrangement for percussion ensemble and accordion - which is an unusual but surprisingly effective combo! I originally had this concept in mind a few months back, and knew I wanted to execute it for this contest. I've never written for accordion before - so this was a COMPLETELY new experience for me. I actually asked keyotter about collabing at VGMCon last April, and he gave me a bunch of tips on writing and nailed the part. I also have to shout-out Rahul and Matt for performing amazing on the other mallet percussion parts (especially since I don't have access to a vibraphone or 5-octave marimba myself haha) - so I'm super proud of how well they did. This is also the first arrangement in a while where I've gotten to use a lot of avant-garde percussion "instruments." In no order, the background wall of sound features these instruments: Ocean Drum, Rain Stick, Seed Rattle, Shakers, Bodhran, Splash Cymbal (with Brushes), Cabasa, Plastic Cutting Board, Triangle, Wind Chimes, Sandpaper Blocks. I specifically bought an ocean drum for this cover - and it is hands down one of the coolest sound design instruments I've ever used. And of course, since Alola is based off of Hawaii, I had to do a little reference to "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" by Israel Kamakawiwo'ole. Anyways, thanks for listening to this cover and I hope you enjoy the rest of the entries on this year's Soundole Chill-Out contest!
