A prominent landlord in Pakistan, he played a significant role in the Lahore Resolution of 1940, making a substantial donation to the Pakistan Movement. Embracing modern agricultural techniques, he surrendered a large portion of his land to the Agricultural Commission after martial law was imposed. Appointed as the Governor of West Pakistan in 1960, he personally covered the expenses of the Governor House during his tenure. He resigned in September 1966 and was tragically assassinated on November 26, 1967. His life and untimely death serve as a powerful lesson.
