Radio Gunsmoke: Chester's Murder (old-time radio - 1955)

Charlie Pickard has been shot and killed while Chester was taking him to jail. All the evidence points to Chester as the murderer! Chester had bought Nita Tucker a drink in the bar, and it got him in to some deep trouble. Charlie Pickard reckoned she was his girl and was gunning for Dillon’s sidekick, but it seems that Chester got to him first and shot him dead. Chester, of course, denies this claiming he had been knocked unconscious and that someone else had used his gun to kill Pickard, but there was no evidence for this. Things look very bad for Chester until Matt Dillon steps in and gets to the bottom of it all.
