Brian interviews Alan Chambers, former president of the global ex-gay ministry Exodus, as well as Candice Czubernat, founder of the Christian Closet, a leading counseling resource for LGBTQ+ people and their families.

We discussed the history and draw of the ex-gay movement, the rise and fall of Exodus, and how Alan and many others arrived at denouncing conversion therapy and change efforts, seeing the ineffectiveness and harm, and with regrets that remain.

Then we explored where this shows up today. We talked about the fear of "getting things wrong" and being separated from God. We dove in to the struggle and damage of being cut off from one's intrinsic sexuality or gender, and how to lean in and trust a more accurate picture of God to find peace, wholeness and good fruit.
