a day in the life of an engineering student 📚 | university of florida | ad.astrid

this is just an average (cough boring cough) day in my life here at the university of florida, as a freshman studying industrial and systems engineering. it's actually so average; i was surprised by how average the day was when i was looking through the footage. it's literally the archetype of my days here this semester--get up, walk, class, eat, study, sleep.
follow me through this average monday, where i go to chemistry class, calculus class, and chemistry lab, eat dining hall food, enjoy time outside in the nice florida weather, then spend the rest of the day in the library. not pictured (er, filmed): me not having the greatest day and feeling homesick and tired. when will i feel better? uncertain. today was easier, though, so i will count that as progress.
today (21 november 21), i studied at the karma cream cafe! and went window shopping in downtown. i had the vegan reuben (nice tasty), some house coffee (and a dollar refill), and strawberry-chocolate-chip-cookie ice cream sandwich (had the other cookie for dinner later). i wanted to go to urban thread, but it was closed. visited soma art hub, and it was really cool. i had a good day and tried to romanticize my life as much as possible, even though i woke up a little late (and forgot my coffee at home and was almost late to church haha). my mom and i did a teleparty of "my only love song." i wanted to do some more video editing of the instagram videos i want to make, but it's 11pm right now i have to go to class in the morning. i have been having some trouble waking up recently, which stinks. i know the problem but i have internal resistance to solving it (aka i enjoy watching netflix and have no self control). lucky me, i have thanksgiving break soon, so i'm not overly concerned. should i have done more school work this weekend? maybe ... but, again, not overly concerned. i need to study for finals soon!
