Our family of 10 washes one load of laundry a day - or less! (I once counted over the course of a month we did 19 loads.) We try to keep things simple and straightforward. We wear mostly knits to avoid ironing, we don't wear many light colors to avoid stain treatments and we wear certain items several times between washes to cut down on laundry and to save wear on the clothes.
