An automatic hydraulic screen filter is a self-cleaning filtration device designed to remove suspended solids from water or other process fluids without interrupting flow. It uses system water pressure to power the cleaning mechanism, eliminating the need for external energy or manual intervention. This makes it well suited for applications where continuous filtration and minimal maintenance are critical.

The filter typically consists of a cylindrical housing with a fine stainless steel screen, an inlet and outlet, a hydraulic suction scanner or nozzles, and a drain valve. During operation, water passes through the screen from inside to outside (or vice versa), trapping particles. As debris accumulates and creates a pressure differential, an internal hydraulic piston activates the cleaning cycle. The suction scanner moves across the screen, drawing contaminants toward the drain while the main flow remains uninterrupted.

Automatic hydraulic screen filters are widely used in irrigation systems, municipal water treatment, cooling water circuits, and industrial processes requiring reliable particle removal.
