this is what i think the spine sounds like.
this was a project in Scott Colburns textural audio class at The Art Institute of Seattle. the project was to take 24 sounds to represent the 24 vertebrae of the human spine. my thought is that it starts from the bottom of the spine, the central nervous system is also integrated with the spine. the droning sound that is throughout the piece is to represent the spinal fluid, the electrical sounds represent the nerves, the abrupt pops and clicks are each vertebrae. i figured that the spine would have more electrical impulses the closer it gets to the brain stem, so the electrical sounds intensify more frequent and culminating into immense electrical sounds.
