Diverting your attention while fuelling-up is a common trick used in many outlets across the country. This is done in many ways. The person filling the petrol pump will show you the meter and set it at ZERO and then some other person will come in between your left mirror and fuel tank.

While the attendant is refueling your car, your attention is diverted with silly fuel additive offers, car cleaning services by other employees.

When your attention is diverted, the hose pipe is taken out of your fuel tank and the fuel is filled to some other car/ spare bottles. The machine shows that the desired fuel has been filled, but it won’t be filled in your vehicle.
