The SC-DJ and the Band...We hired you, but can someone go home?

The Sound Couple heads out to support the band for wedding in one of the most unique venues around to hold a wedding reception in.

What's frequently challenging in any room without a stage and especially in a very small room is space management. In this situation, we knew the space the band would need may be and issue so before we started setting up any gear, we checked with the venue manager first thing and established a positive rapport with her. Surprise surprise, when the father of the bride arrived, he was not happy with the amount of space we were taking up. After he spoke with us, he went to the venue manager and one suggestion was to send part of the band home! The venue manager was able to smooth everything over!

This gig highlights the never ending challenge of balancing everyone's expectations, vision with the reality that there are limited resources....and on this day, there was a grand vision of live music and DJ and the reality is that this all needed to happen in a very small room, so something had to give! In this case, based on the band hired, there were no alternatives to where we could have set up!
