Hexa Panels brings the functionality of space grade honeycomb core sandwich composite panels into an aesthetic package for the architecture and design industry.

I have always been interested in new materials and had worked with composite materials right during my B.Tech and even did my internship in ATIRA’s composite division. Shweta, an Industrial designer with the super-ability to design products out of right about anything, had just designed a paper honeycomb core popup shop during her internship at Daily Dump.

One day while discussing about our internships, the idea of using the honeycomb core’s aesthetics for lightweight modular stalls came up and thus, the idea of Hexa Panels took shape. This happened back in September and 4 months down the line, we already have our first adopters.

We started by looking at exhibition and event spaces, taking into consideration just the aesthetics of the material and then after some experimenting we started understanding our material better and expanded our product offerings to space solutions and furniture.

As of now, Hexa Panels offers customised space solutions that are fresh and opulent for spaces that breathe. While corporate spaces are our primary target, our panel solutions are well suited for residential, exhibition/event and retail spaces as well. Our products range from partition walls and doors to table tops & chairs. Think surfaces ? Think Hexa.

EDII has been quite supportive and resourceful throughout our journey. Talking about our idea to the faculty here always gave us new insights regarding our business strategy. Having no family business background, the lectures, the wonderful library and the mentoring we got here was quite priceless. Execution is where most people fail when it comes to entrepreneurship but EDII’s electric environment and the practical approach to business is what helped us turn our spark of an idea into an actual functioning business.

Coming to EDII has been one of the best decisions Shweta and I have made and even today when I see somebody who wants to do something big on their own but has no idea how to, I tell them that EDII is the place to be.
