Here I am with a new Konkani Bhaktigeet He Maye Vandevi.
There are five deities in Shree Betal Maharudra Temple Premises which includes Shree Vhadli Vandevata, Shree Dhakli Vandevata, Shree Bhagwati and Shree Ravalnath. Prior to the arrival of Portuguese these temples were in Shirode village of Bardez Taluka. Now this village is known as Serula. From the year 1561 to 1565 while religious conversions were going on, these temples were brought in Bicholim Taluka in Mulgao village by the devotees. The Tuesday in the month of Shravan is celebrated with great zeal. In the Kartik month there is fair of goddess on new moon day. For this Festival the Deepsthambha (a tower of lamp) is lit and held on head. There is a custom of invoking the deity with Gopal Garane on the third day of fair.
