News Conference Burglary Arrests

Scottsdale, Arizona

Three people have been arrested in north Scottsdale related to the burglary series in the area. The arrests occurred over several hours between 8:40 Sunday night and 6:30 Monday morning. During that time, patrol officers, detectives, police drones and police helicopters were searching the neighborhoods around Pima and Yearling Roads after being alerted to subjects being in the adjacent desert area.

A woman was the first to be arrested after she was seen by detectives driving a vehicle out of a neighborhood near Pima and Yearling Roads around 8:40 pm Sunday, March 10. Two men were arrested by officers at about 6:30 am Monday, March 11 in a desert area near Pima and Jomax Roads during the continued search of the area by a police helicopter. None of the suspects were armed when arrested.

The three suspects were originally booked into the Scottsdale Police Jail on conspiracy and burglary-related charges.

The vehicle the woman was driving was impounded as evidence and had some property items in it. The two men did not have any significant property items with them when they were arrested. This was the second of two nights over the past weekend that police helicopters were used to search neighborhoods related to crimes occurring or suspicious activity being reported by community members.

The woman has been identified as 32-year-old Grecia Romanduski Gate Castillo, from Chile. She was also booked into the Maricopa County Jail. One male suspect has been identified as a 17-year-old from Santiago, Chile and he was sent to a Maricopa County juvenile facility. The second man has been identified as 23-year-old Sebastian Jesus Parraguez Soto of Santiago, Chile. He will be booked into the Maricopa County Jail later this evening.

Scottsdale detectives are actively working on this case to determine if this group is connected with other cases in Scottsdale. The Scottsdale Police DR number is 24-05525.
