Your art is…UGLY? Try a COLLAGE makeover!

It turns out I didn’t READ the color theory book closely enough and ended up making a pretty dreadful art page in my sketchbook. I usually throw caution to the wind when I work in my sketchbook as I have the belief that I can “fix” anything with collage. However, I often start with a limited color palette, and lately have been randomly chosing a 3-color wheel from the book - *The Complete Color Harmony, Pantone Edition: Expert Color Information for Professional Results, by Leatrice Eiseman.*

When my art turned out…well…UGLY, my artist-daughter explained what the problem was. In this video I talk about color proportions, and using collage art and mixed media to solve art problems that sometimes arise when you are the type of artist who does throw caution to the wind.
