I had a lot more commentary for this game than usual, because this game’s glitches are very involved and happen in the blink of an eye, the game itself has so many changes to point out, and my own experience felt like it needed to be shared considering I’m like the only person who’s beaten this without cheats.
I decided to do the commentary slightly differently this time, where I still let the run play and talk about stuff as it happens, but I actually pause the video at many points to fit in all the elaborate stuff. I still wasn’t expecting this to be almost twice the length of the run itself though.
With how I stubbornly avoid learning how to edit videos, I still wanted to do this in one take, including pausing at the right time and frame advancing where necessary. This obviously didn't all work out as expected, so I decided to just redo lines on the fly and cut out all the mistakes later. Some of these cuts are still very visible in the final video.
I also planned to use my mouse cursor to actually point at things and try to clarify the glitches better, and as a small nod to the times where I accidentally moved my cursor over the video in my previous commentaries. Turns out, having to look at where I'm pointing the cursor makes it more difficult to keep track of where I am in my script, leading to even more mistakes.
And yeah, I still don't have a proper mic or anything, so at some points the commentary isn't very audible. I've included subtitles as usual, which in this case took forever to fix up neatly.
All in all this is pretty scuffed, and I also deliberately made the commentary more informal than usual, but it all perfectly fits the spirit of this game. Despite all its flaws, I had a blast.
