After getting all of the Zapfish for each Hub in Octo Canyon, the boss stage is unlocked for you to find the last Zapfish for that Hub. Of course, you have to fight the boss, itself, for it.

This game's first boss is the Octo Oven. If Marie's bakery puns don't kill you here, this machine's Octarian-filled loaves of bread probably will. Its weakness is the large tentacle at the top. You have to use the octobread that shoots out to climb up to it, and each time you damage the Octo Over, it reinforces itself to make it harder for you to climb up to its top.

Of course, since this is the first boss, it still shouldn't be too much of a hassle to overcook and overload this oven's bread in no time flat. You get 50 Power Eggs for your trouble along with the Zapfish you just saved.

Not only do you unlock the next Hub of Octo Canyon, but Marie also summons an old friend: Sheldon the Shellfish!

Weaving through all of his endless, rapid-fire chatter, with Sheldon at your and Marie's side, you can now use your Power Eggs and Sardinium to upgrade your main weapon and gain new sub-weapons. He will give you some new main weapons to test over time, and if you're really dedicated enough with them (that is to say use these same weapons in every single Hero Mode stage of the game), Sheldon will start selling these same weapons at his shop for you to use in your Online Multiplayer matches.
