To start, you will need to back up your data from your current device to be able to transfer it to your new one. On your old device, open your Settings app and tap your name at the top. Then select iCloud. Tap iCloud Backup. Then tap Back Up Now. This will create a new backup of everything that’s currently on your phone including all of your apps, data, and photos. Once your device has been backed up, you can begin the transfer process. Begin setting up your new iPhone selecting what language you want to use and connecting to Wi-Fi. When you reach the Apps and Data page, select the option to load an iCloud backup. Sign into your same Apple ID account that you use on your old iPhone. Then, choose which backup you want to load from your iCloud storage. The transfer will take some time to load, and you should see an estimated time remaining on screen. Once the transfer is complete, your device will be configured based on your iCloud backup and all of your apps will begin to re-download. You may be prompted to enter your Apple ID password again to confirm app store downloads. Follow the on-screen instructions and prompts to complete setup of your new device.
