Update on the 313 Poly and a mystery manifold !

Taking way longer than we thought it would but some progress has been made as the passenger side 313 head is back on and the driver's side 318 head is off, just need to clean the block face and with a new Fel-Pro head gasket install the 313 drivers side head. The 318 heads differ from the 313 heads and more than likely were the cause of water in the oil so we will have to wait a few more weeks to find out, the Edelbrock tri-carb manifold was also causing some problems as it is not mating well with the block due to having been repaired and having the flat areas machined, it is not perfectly flat so we will test it on the run stand engine first later, in the meantime we will install a mystery manifold on the 313. It is a factory manifold and it is not a 2 barrel so you will have to wait to see what it is, 5 years ago a friend gave it to me as compensation so to speak for a dent he accidently caused to one of my cars, bless his cotton socks ! i did not think i would use the manifold and gave it to another friend who also never installed it so after asking if i could have it back and him giving it back to me i have decided to clean it up and use it. It has a few broken carburetor/carburetors mounting studs and as soon as we get them out it will be painted and installed, soon, hopefully.
