Hiking in the Swiss Alps: Niderbauen Chulm

Niederbauen is a mountain area located in Central Switzerland, southeast of Luzern. It is accessed by cable car from the small village Emmetten and offers plenty of hiking trails. On a sunny day in October 2018 my husband and I hiked one of those paths - scenic circular path to Niederbauen Chulm, 1923 m/6307 ft. high peak above the Lake Lucerne (Vierwaldstättersee) in the Urner Alps.
The path led through scenic landscape of Swiss Alps and offered breathtaking views over the Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountain peaks, like Rigi, Mythen, Pilatus et others.
After the hike we had delicious lunch with a view at the restaurant of Berggasthaus Niederbauen, then we hiked all the way down to Emmetten.
