As we continue to receive all the incredible blessings that the month of Mercy has to offer, let us be reminded of the wisdom instilled upon us by our noble Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) who said: ‘The best charity is giving water to drink’ [Abu Dawud].

Did you know that you can build a lifesaving water well in Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, and other countries for the equivalent of just 82p per day?

Better yet, you can make this incredible act of Sadaqah Jariyah in your name, in the name of a loved one or in the name of our beloved Prophet (ﷺ).

Here’s how your water donations from Ramadan 2025 transformed Fatima’s life – Alhamdulillah!

After the terrible shock of losing her husband, Fatima suddenly became the sole provider for her four young siblings. Her life burdened by finacial hardship and the daily struggle to trek miles for clean water for her family, Fatima was forced to give up her business selling fruits and vegetables. But when our incredible Penny Appeal donors gifted her the best form of charity in the shape of a tube well, Fatima’s life was transformed. She no longer had to make the dangerous journey to fetch water and even opened her own shop to resume her passion – selling fruits and vegetables to her community, who also benefit from this incredible water solution.

Here’s what Fatima had to say:

“The well has helped me and my family a lot. It relieved me from the burden of trekking water from a long distance. I had to shut my shop when I was fetching water because it took a long time. Now my shop is openfor hours and earn more income for my children. Thank you very much for your help. May Allah give you better replacement and bless you and your family”.

Reaping the rewards we deserve in this month is extremely easy when we simply practice the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and strive to embody what the Prophet (ﷺ) continues to teach us.

Give the Best Sadaqah Jariyah.

Perform the purest act of Sadaqah Jariyah and build a well today and you can give life by the grace of Allah (سبحانه وتعالى) to a community in desperate need.

Fidya and Kaffarah payments are obligatory.

Paying Fidya and Kaffarah holds the same obligatory status as the act of fasting in Ramadan.

If you're exempt from fasting for a valid reason, you must pay Fidya as long as you have the means to do so.

Likewise, if you intentionally miss your fast without a valid reason, it's obligatory to pay your Kaffarah.
Paying what you are due today will help us feed the poor and needy this Ramadan while also relieving you of your abstinence from fasting.

But don’t take our word for it, this obligation was set upon us by the Prophet (ﷺ) who said:

“An individual should not eat until they feed someone who is hungry.”
