＜曲目解説＞
冒頭では厳かなコラールが流れ、人々の栄誉がたたえられます。
そして誇りと気概に満ちたファンファーレと入場のための音楽がこれに続き、楽譜中に記載のような式典の各場面が展開されていきます。

演奏上、音の形や発音のニュアンスに留意してリズムを整え、皆さんの演奏がより一層生き生きとなるよう、また冒頭の四声体のハーモニーを非和声音に注意して歌い上げる様お願いします。

作曲した2001 年当時、この作品に対して「この先様々なセレモニーの現場で活用されて欲しい」と願ったことが叶い、様々な場面で幅広く活用されることとなりました。今回の復刻で、さらに式典曲としても基礎合奏教材としても演奏されることがこれからの願いでもあります。（内藤淳一）

この版は、そんな吹奏楽作品をクラリネット五重奏にリアレンジしたものです。原曲の雰囲気を出来るだけ損なうことなく、アンサンブルの響きを充分堪能できる様にオーケストレーションしています。（渡部哲哉）

Naito composed this march in 2001 as a tribute to the brave athletes who compete in the Olympic and Paralympic games.
However, its themes and melodies are universal and the piece has been used in a wide variety of ceremonies since its original release.
This new edition will allow different audiences to enjoy the music and it will provide a valuable teaching resource for young musicians.

The work opens with a solemn chorale to honour the athletes, followed by a fanfare to announce their arrival and entrance music filled with pride and spirit.
Then, the various scenes of the ceremony unfold as described in the score. Each section has a subtitle to guide the conductor and musicians in the interpretation of the music.
When performing, musicians must pay attention to the shape of the notes and the nuances of articulation to set the rhythm and maintain energy in the performance.
Melodic material should sing in four-voice harmony with careful attention paid to non-harmonic tones.

This edition is a rearrangement of such a concert band piece for clarinet quintet.
It has been orchestrated in a way that preserves the atmosphere of the original composition as much as possible, allowing for a full appreciation of the ensemble's sound.
