Jabalpur Railway Station, Madhya Pradesh: A distressing incident highlighting inhumane behavior at Jabalpur Railway Station has gone viral. A passenger who tried to buy a samosa for just ₹15 was physically assaulted by a vendor after his UPI payment failed, culminating in the vendor snatching the passenger’s wristwatch as the train began to leave.

What the Video Shows:

Failed Payment, Train Departure: The passenger attempted a UPI payment for the samosas, but the transaction failed due to network issues. As the train started moving, the anxious passenger tried to rush back to his compartment without the food.

Vendor's Aggression: The samosa vendor (Sandeep Gupta, identified by RPF) chased the passenger, grabbed him by the collar, and forcefully demanded cash payment. When the passenger explained he had no cash, the vendor cursed him and forcibly removed the watch from his wrist in exchange for the samosas.

Trading Watch for Samosas: Fearing he would miss his train, the passenger was forced to hand over his watch to the vendor, who then relented and let him go, but not before thrusting the samosas into his hands.

Railway Action:

Following the viral video, the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and DRM Jabalpur took immediate action. The accused vendor, Sandeep Gupta, has been detained, and an FIR has been filed against him under Section 145 of the Railways Act. The process to cancel his vendor license has also been initiated.
