A Better Place starring Seth MacFarlane (Self Help Scene)

In this scene from A Better Place the main character, Mitch, attends a self-help meeting where members of the group are encouraged to fight the urge to break out into song to soothe their angst.

A Better Place is a short film by Greg Scalzo made at Rhode Island School of Design during 1994 and 1995.

In reaction to the dour selection of student films screened at the college's annual Senior show a year earlier, Scalzo sought to bring the funny to the otherwise serious proceedings. He enlisted the talents of his Film Department colleague and friend Seth MacFarlane who was working on his own animated degree film at the time.
