In this video I walk through setting up a topology that enables two DCs to be able to communicate at Layer 2 over a Layer 3 boundary.

Most DC interconnects these days are Layer 3 and may have other services running over them already. This is a good way to be able to use existing infrastructure to forward L2 traffic between those locations without having to deal with a "real" Layer 2 link with services like STP.
