Spinball Whizzer Will NOT BE REMOVED From Alton Towers?! | The UNCERTAIN Future...

Will Spinball Whizzer be REMOVED from Alton Towers any time soon? Will these rides REPLACE this spinning roller coasters?! Well... for now Spinball Whizzer isn't going anywhere... that's not to say that in the next 10 years it could/likely to be removed from the resort! With the ride looking tired, queue games not working despite being fixed and a lack of an actual "area" including shops and food outlets could Spinball Whizzer slowly be on it's way out Spinball Whizzer opened in 2004, it was later rebranded to Sonic Spinball until 2015, and was changed to its former "theme". The ride got a brand NEW computer system this year, securing it's future at the park for at least the foreseeable! If any ride were to be removed it would probably be Spinball Whizzer/Sonic Spinball or RITA... Right? The area could be transformed into a expansion of CBeebies Land with a new family coaster, the perfect area for flat rides, or another family thrill coaster for the main park of Alton Towers to join the existing line up of family attractions that includes Th13teen, Wicker Man, Congo River Rapids, The Blade, among more!

Nemesis: Currently being retracked and will reopen in 2024, with a enhanced story including the Phalanx.

Take a thrilling ride deep into the Earth’s core to discover the secretive research of The Phalanx. Through a guided tour of their latest research facility in Forbidden Valley. Civilians are invited to look, stay alert, but don’t touch, as you’re shown exciting glimpses of a Nemesis egg, their latest discovery.

We’re told it’s controlled and contained, but very little is known about the origins of the egg that sits beneath the Nemesis site, but this much is clear, it’s showing life signs.


Galactica/Air at Alton Towers Resort:

"Galactica" is a unique roller coaster experience that combines traditional coaster elements with a virtual reality (VR) component.

VR has since been removed.

Funk 'n' Fly - The retro Squad rides at alton towers. Funk 'n' Fly is located in Forbidden Valley, the other two retro squad rides are in X-Sector which include Spin Jam and Twistatron.
