REPOTTING my Root Bound Thai Constellation Monstera!

Hello Friends! Its Erin here! Today I am repotting my Thai Constellation Monstera in this easy plant care tutorial. It has become root bound and I created a custom chunky soil mix to match the one its currently in. I've had this plant for 6 months and it has quickly outgrown its nursery pot it came in and now it's time to up-pot. I will share some easy Thai Con Monstera plant care tips and show you how I prepare the plant for repotting. You can follow these instructions for SO many other plants including many monsteras, or other plant types, not just thai constellation monstera.
Here are some clues that its time to Repot and upsize;
1. If your plants roots are getting out of control and distorting the shape of your pot.
2. You can see your roots starting to escape from the bottom of the pot.
3. Water runs right through you pot (it not longer can absorb water and nutrients.
4. New leaves are the same size or smaller than the last leaves.
Use a CHUNKY SOIL MIX for monsteras varieties- these plants love an airy mixture to spread their roots in.
I created a quick mix of pumice, orchid bark, and a monstera mix that contained coco coir, worm castings, charcoal, and peat moss. This helps the plant hold on to a little bit of moisture. This mixture was the same consistency as the one the plant came with in the nursery pot and the plant had done great so far, pushing out beautiful leaves with fenestrations.
