Thousand Pillar Temple or Rudreswara Temple is a historic temple situated in Hanmakonda (Warangal) in Telangana. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, Vishnu and Surya or the Sun God. An outstanding example of architectural brilliance during the reign of Kakatiya rule, Thousand Pillar Temple is a place not only for devotees but for every history enthusiast and architecture lover.
Warangal Fort was once upon a time, was the capital of city of Kakatiya Dynasty and Musunuri Nayakas. It existed at least since the 12th century. The fort has four ornamental gateways that were chiseled out of monolithic rocks.
