These various segments were recorded by KCMO-TV, a local Kansas City television station, showing former president Harry S. Truman's activities in Kansas City and Independence, Missouri. It also includes coverage of local activities related to Mr. Truman's funeral in 1972. Included here are:
- May 9, 1966. Birthday party for Harry Truman at the Hotel Muehlebach in Kansas City. Jack Benny speaking (saying he may run for President). President Lyndon Johnson calls and wishes Mr. Truman a happy birthday.
- May 25, 1968. Vice President (and presidential candidate) Hubert Humphrey chatting with Harry and Bess Truman on the porch of their Independence home just before Humphrey leaves.
- January 20, 1966. Harry S. Truman Peace Institute ceremonies at the Truman Library. Harry Truman introduces President Lyndon B. Johnson, who then speaks. At this ceremony, President Johnson presents Medicare cards numbered 1 and 2 to Harry and Bess Truman.
- July 26, 1967. Jimmy Durante visits Harry Truman at his Independence home. KCMO news reporter Joe Kramer discusses the visit with Mr. Durante.
- October 11, 1968. President and Mrs. Lyndon B. Johnson’s arrival at the Truman house in Independence for signing of U.N. Day proclamation.
- November 8, 1968. Battery D members arrive at the Truman home in Independence. KCMO news reporter Wendall Anschutz questions the members as they leave about their visit.
- March 21, 1969. President Richard Nixon and First Lady Pat Nixon arrive at the Truman Library. President Nixon talks with Harry S. Truman and presents Truman with the piano he used in the White House. President Nixon plays the Missouri Waltz.
- August 7, 1969. The “Young Americans” serenade Harry Truman at his Independence home. News reporter Joe Kramer questions Omar Bradley and Kitty Buhler Bradley about their visit with Harry Truman.
- July 4, 1966. Harry Truman watching Independence Day parade in front of his home; Independence Day ceremonies at the Truman Library.
- November 27, 1971. Harry Truman greet “Pop” Warner football youngsters at his Independence home.
- July 4, 1966. Independence Day ceremonies at the Truman Library. Harry Truman speaks about the Declaration of Independence and gives excerpts from several of his presidential statements about liberty and freedom, including a special message to the Philippines, the peaceful purpose of the U.N., and the worldwide search for peace. He concludes with the lines of the Declaration of Independence, “…all men are created equal, all are endowed by their creator certain unalienable rights…” Rufus Burrus speaks at the end.
- December 27, 1972. Harry S. Truman funeral scenes. Truman is lying in state in the Library lobby, visitors are walking past; military men carrying the casket to the hearse.

The end of this film has been cut off. It should have about five more minutes, including more scenes from Harry S. Truman's funeral:
Margaret Truman Daniel greets Lynda and Lucy Johnson and their husbands at the Independence home. Margaret and Clifton Daniel show President and Mrs. Lyndon Johnson and their daughters to their car. Margaret and Clifton walk President and Mrs. Richard Nixon up to the Independence home and back to their car to leave.
