Flooring and safe spaces are something that so many of us take for granted. When
YWCA Crabtree, a transitional housing facility in East Vancouver, was looking for help
to replace the old, worn, and dated flooring in their on-site daycare center. BuildDirect
stepped up to the challenge. We held fundraisers and worked with a supplier to source
latest-technology flooring that would provide some cushioning and outlast the wear-and-
tear of exuberant babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. The flooring created a safe, warm,
welcoming space that would last for years to come.
