The Cool Ruler was definately the coolest ruler ever. He did so many great songs, but to me the live at Reggae Sunsplash '83 is mesmerizin.

On his most famous hit, I feel like he blows away the studio version, with his raw and urgent vocals... And the audience chanting just adds that mystical atmosphere.

But my favorite aspect of this live is the INSANE groove provided by the almighty Roots Radics: Flabba Holt and bass and Style Scott are the hardest hitters in reggae, ain't no doubt about that. It's so damn SOLID.

Rest in peace Gregory Isaacs. Your music will always stay in our souls.
