360 video | Grand Canyon from space

Описание к видео 360 video | Grand Canyon from space

This epic, 360°moving timelapse (viewable with VR!) was captured on an August morning in none other than one of the seven wonders of the world, the Grand Canyon, Arizona.

The craft was kitted out with a 6K 360 camera system, featuring multiple cameras to gather incredible footage for this hyperlapse video - a technique that we pioneered. We also used a 360-equipped drone to film the craft’s ascent. The theme here: max panorama, max pay off.

To make sure we kept en route across the stunning vistas of the copper-coloured canyon cliffs, we built a wind model, drawing from weather data and sophisticated simulation software.

Assisted by our tracking systems, we recovered the launch vehicle in the Kaibab National Park, nestled on the Colorado Plateau.

Another successful launch in a stunning location.

Enjoy…in full 360!

Sent Into Space are the Near Space experts.

As self-explanatory as it sounds, but certainly not as simple.  At Sent into Space we use lighter-than-air gas balloons to travel to the upper stratosphere into Near Space, where you can see the curvature of the Earth (Flat Earth believers need not reply!), the black vacuum of space and the thin blue line of the Earth's atmosphere on the horizon.

This is more than just a GoPro on a weather balloon. We build a bespoke launch vehicle for each flight utilising the latest in camera technology and long-range radio and satellite communications. We film ultra high-resolution video of the Earth from space for stunning images of the curvature of the Earth.

With over 1,000 successful flights over the last 11 years, we're the only company to go to when you want to launch something into space. From marketing activations and scientific research, to education and charity work, we offer a wide range of services and solutions. We’re always keen for the next great space adventure.  To find out more, visit https://www.sentintospace.com
