Hosted by the Hon. Maxine McKew AM in conversation with Krystyna Campbell-Pretty AM and Dr Anna Welch (and joined by Dr Helen Pankhurst, CBE) the suffragette movement was discussed in context of the Pankhurst family, the Movement’s innovative methods of funding and its relevance today. About the Women Writers Fund
The Women Writers Fund is a pioneering new fund that seeks to redress the historical gender imbalance in State Library Victoria’s collection by acquiring works by under-represented 19th and 20th century women writers.

Co-founded by Krystyna Campbell-Pretty AM and Helen Sykes, the Fund has now over 130 acquisitions and relies on the generosity of donors to ensure that female voices from the past are forgotten. For further information see here https://www.slv.vic.gov.au/get-involv...
