In this video, I head into the heart of Derbyshire at Christmas, exploring the beautiful villages of Castleton and Bakewell as they come alive with festive lights, cosy pubs, and that unmistakable winter atmosphere.

In Castleton, I walk through the village beneath the dramatic shadow of Peveril Castle, talking about its history, the famous caverns and underground tunnels the area is known for, and what makes this part of the Peak District so unique. I also take the drone up around the castle, capturing some stunning winter views from above.

From there, I make my way to Bakewell, soaking up the Christmas charm — traditional English sweet shops, the famous Bakewell pudding shops, and inviting pubs with roaring fires and pints of Guinness on tap.

Along the journey, I also pass by the world-famous Chatsworth House, taking in its presence and setting within the winter landscape as I travel through the Peak District.

This isn’t a rushed travel guide — it’s a relaxed, atmospheric look at Derbyshire in winter, full of history, scenery, and festive village life.
