Fyfe Robertson calls on the country’s smallest church, a determined bunch who refuse to acknowledge the authority of, or bow to, the British state.

The Brotherhood Church near Stapleton has four members. They are dogged rebels and non-conformers who flatly refuse to accept any law other than God’s law – this includes the law of the land. They have no birth or marriage certificates, they do not take running water or electricity from the state, and the father has served jail time for refusing to fight in World War One.

As their numbers dwindle, and they face more and more interference from officialdom, Fyfe asks them if they have any regrets about their tough principles.
