I took a bus from Kuala Lumpur to Penang (Butterworth, Georgetown) for $10

Train tickets were more expensive and sold out, so I thought: "What if I take a bus?"

I booked a ticket a couple of days in advance on this website

I was able to choose a place as well.

We set off from Sentral Station a little later than planned. However, the trip was very comfortable and well worth it.
Later, I took a ferry from the bus station to Georgetown - the price was ridiculous - $0.6

I totally recommend this route.
