A new Triple-X Silverado has been long overdue, but the target unit was the 6.2L direct injection powerplant in the 2014 North American Truck of the Year....but putting your hands on a new 6.2L was easier said than done. To put it in perspective, we've been looking for a 2014 Silverado with the 6.2L since before the C7 Stingray was ordered, so if you're looking for this powerplant, ya may have to expand your search outside the hometown dealerships...
This was the Silverado LTZ Crew Cab model (6.2L is only offered in LTZ or High Country). Initial mods include 6" Pro Comp lift, 35x12.50x20 Nitto Trail Grapplers, XD Series wheels XD797 Spy 20" wheels -12 offset/4.53 backspace, Bestop illuminated Powerboards, color matched fender flares and spray-in bedliner. All components are covered under warranty, so nothing radical was intended with this build. Other performance bolt-ons and aesthetic upgrades on the way, so stay tuned...
