How Muslims Conquered India | History Documentary

India. Seen as the bastion of the Hindu faith, it is actually home to the 3rd largest Muslim population in the world. The introduction of Islam as a political power force in the subcontinent came through the efforts of two Muslim dynasties centred in modern-day Afghanistan, the Ghaznavids and the Ghurids. Through the actions of their two respective greatest rulers, Mahmud of Ghazni and Muizz ul-Din Ghuri, northern India was constantly exposed to raids and in time, the establishment of Muslim state.
