Synopsis::
‘Subha Bibaha’ shows the incidents that take place on Gaati’s wedding day. Gaati goes missing on the morning of her wedding. They ask Sandhya their niece about Gaati’s whereabouts but Sandhya doesn’t know where she is. Gaati was in love with Arun but the family was against the match as Arun belonged to different caste. Gaati’s situation is similar to that of Sandhya who was married against her wish as the family was against her relation with Niren as he didn’t belong to their caste. Sandhya became a widow shortly after her marriage. Gaati goes to Arun and asks him to marry him. They seek shelter at Niren’s house. In the meanwhile the family informs the police and the police is able to trace them. The groom’s father also comes to know that the bride is missing. He says that they must get their daughter back and marry her to his son to save their reputation. Sandhya is used as a bait by her uncle and is forced to go to Niren’s house against her wish to bring Gaati and Arun back. Gaati is emotionally blackmailed by her parents and the groom’s father. Gaati’s mother emotionally convinces Arun to go away. Sandhya sees what’s going on and she finally comes forward and says that it’s not easy for lovers to win against the society. She also rues that she lost her right to live a life of her own while trying to satisfy others. Gaati and Arun realize their mistake and they leave home. They take Sandhya with them. Niren comes to take them. The family realizes their mistakes.
