Pimple patches usually have certain ingredients that help absorb the excess sebum and drainage from the pimple site, speeded up healing, as well as protect it from any external damage.
These are great ways to address a pimple here and there - but if you have severe, recurring acne - you need to visit a dermatologist and get a diagnosis followed by a treatment plan. Because, remember, pimple patches help with healing of that one pimple - they don’t address or work on the cause / trigger!
