When we say component method, we are actually breaking our vector into its x and y components. The process of breaking a vector into its components is sometimes called vector resolution. The original vector is the hypotenuse of a right triangle.

In this video, I will be assuming that you are a master of solving the resultant vector of two vectors that are perpendicular to each other or the angle is 90 degrees. Therefore, using the Pythagorean theorem is an easy task for you.
