If you have little ones in the around, they may not seem to be much help, but they like to hang out while we are cleaning, so I give them small tasks that they can easily do ("pick up the blanket", "throw the trash in the trash can") and before long they are doing these things without being walked through it and more! We have been cleaning the house together as a family for years, and now I can see it is paying off because I have capable and willing helpers in my older kids. We are all growing and improving our abilities every day!
