The Fort Myers, Florida real estate market has seen an increase in sales compared to last year, although it is still three percent lower than December.
The market is currently in its high season, which typically runs from January to late May or June, after which it starts declining until December.
The presence of hurricane-damaged properties, some of which are being sold as fixer-uppers, and others that have been renovated, may impact prices and push them higher.
Properties in San Carlos priced below $400,000 if in livable condition, are selling quickly, especially to locals who were previously renting in flood-prone areas.
The condo market in Fort Myers appears to be stable, with prices ranging from around $290,000 to $320,000.
