दिवाळी विशेष भाजणी चकली बनवण्यासाठी लागणारे साहित्य
चकली भाजणी
• १/२ किलो तांदूळ
• २०० ग्राम चणा डाळ
• १०० ग्रॅम मूग डाळ
• ५० ग्रॅम उडदाची डाळ
• ५० ग्रॅम पोहे
• ५० ग्रॅम साबुदाणा
• १० ग्रॅम अख्खे धने
• १० ग्रॅम जिरं
चकली
• २ कप चकली भाजणी
• १ कप पाणी
• १ चमचा लाल तिखट
• १/४ चमचा हळद
• चवीनुसार मीठ
• पांढरे तीळ
• १ चमचा तेल
• तळण्यासाठी तेल

Ingredients:
Chakli Bhajani
• 1/2 kg Rice
• 200 gm Chana dal
• 100 gm Moong dal
• 50 gm Urad dal
• 50 gm Poha
• 50 gm Sabudana
• 10 gm Coriander seeds
• 10 gm Cumin seeds
Chakali
• 2 cups Chakali bhajani
• 1 cup Water
• 1 tsp red chili powder
• 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
• Salt to taste
• Sesame seeds
• 1 tsp Oil
• Oil for frying

Method:
Chakli Bhajani
• Wash rice really good 3-4 times and drain all the water from it. Spread rice well on a cotton
cloth.
• Wash chana dal really good and drain all the water from it. Spread it next to rice on cotton
cloth.
• Wash moong dal really good and drain all the water from it. Spread it on the cotton cloth.
• Wash urad dal well and drain all he water from it. Spread it on the cotton cloth.
• Dry all of them for 24 hours.
• Heat up pan on medium heat and roast rice until it begins to change the color. Transfer the
roasted rice into a dish.
• In the same pan roast chana dal on medium heat until it gets light reddish color and transfer
into the dish.
• Roast moong dal until it gets light reddish color and transfer into the dish.
• Roast urad dal on medium heat until it gets golden color and transfer into the dish.
• Roast poha on medium heat until they become crunchy and transfer into the dish.
• Roast sabudana on medium heat and transfer into the dish.
• Roast coriander seeds on medium heat for about 2-3 minutes and transfer into the dish.
• Roast cumin seeds well on medium heat and transfer into the dish.
• Let the mixture cool down completely. Roast it into a little coarse powder in mixer.
• Or you can grind it from the mill too. Bhajani for making chakali is ready.
Chakali
• Heat up water in a pan and add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt, sesame seeds, oil.
• Mix well and bring it to boil.
• When the mixture begins to boil turn the heat to low and add the chakli bhajani.
• Mix in quickly and turn off the gas.
• Cover and steam for about 10 minutes.
• Take the mixture out into a dish and knead it well. The dough should be stiff.
• Take a small portion from the dough and make it smooth and even.
• Transfer the dough into the chakali mold and roll out chakalis from it on butter paper.
• Seal both ends of the chakali well.
• Heat up oil on medium heat and drop chakli into hot oil.
• Fry chakali well on low to medium heat from both sides.
• After frying for about 2-3 minutes flip the chakali over and fry well from other side too.
• When the bubbles subside and chakli begins to settle down at the bottom it means chakali is
fried well.
• Take the chjakali out, drain excess oil and transfer into a dish.
• You can store the chakalis in an airtight container when they cool down completely.
• You can make around 60-70 chakalis from 1 kg bhajani.
