What has been your greatest adventure?


This was 3 year ago in 2019 when I was 17 year old. Some of my friends planned to go for a trip. And we think that we go to pilgrimage site.

We have go to-

Hemkund sahib.
Badrinath temple.
Kedarnath temple.
Mana.
Our journey started from our village which is located near saharanpur. We had to reach rishikesh first. We rested there overnight and at 5:00 am the thrilling journey began . First we had to reach Hemkund sahib. Which is 300 km from rishikesh we left in the morning high mountain on the side deep gorge on the other side was quite an exciting site. I was thrilled to ride a bike in the mountains for first time. We reached Hemkund sahib and had a lot of fun and tracking. And then after we left for Badrinath temple. Temple is at distance of 25 km from Hemkund sahib. The beautiful view of the water flowing through the mountains was quite a breaktaking sight. Then we left for mana from the Badrinath temple which is 5 km from there . There is a lot of nice scenery there. Bhim bridge is also located there from where the Pandavas went to heaven. Beyond there is a boder of china where common man is not allowed to go. Then at last we go to the Kedarnath temple .

And it took 10 days for the entire journey.


I am going to mention not one but two of the best adventures among the few I have taken in my life.

1. Climbing a Himalayan peak of 6,153 m (20,182 feet) in my first ever hike. (Stok Kangri ) I wasn't a seasoned hiker and had never been to a high altitude region before the hike. I knew what I had signed up when I decided to go ahead and give a try and kept my expectations low with the goal to reach at least the base camp. The altitude was playing tricks with me but I managed to start the ascent from the Base camp to the peak in spite of that. It started around 10:30 PM and the road to the peak is a grueling 2000 m ascent. I almost decided to turn back at around 3 AM, but the sight of the most beautiful sunrise I have ever seen, filled me with new energy and tempted me to wonder, on how the view from the top would be. I did pull myself and reached the summit around 8 AM. That moment, after reaching the summit, is when I realized that , I can do things if I pushed myself a bit. My heart was filled with bliss and tears rolled down at the sight of pristine beauty.
2. I grew up in a loving family always accompanied by someone where ever I went. Even though I was independent in other things, there were always people I counted on when I was out. Taking up a solo trip for 6 months and that too to the not-so-crowded destinations was,in itself, a big adventure for me. I had my heart in my mouth when I landed in Hong Kong on the first day of the journey. It felt like the whole world was against me but slowly,world seemed to be welcoming me wherever i went and by the end of the journey, the world and me became one big family (My family). There were lots of adventures I took during the journey learning the ways of travel and life in general and all of them seemed more than just worth it.
I would not think twice to put myself up for any adventure that life is going to take me on.

Giving birth to four kids!.

When I traveled with a former boyfriend in a semi!.

He wasn't supposed to have anyone riding with him ,but I did! That appealed to my rebel nature!.

We drove through many.states. One time we were in Brownsville ,Texas. We were on a road that were a card only road.,but we pulled over and visited an old mission It was very interesting because it had skill engravings on either side.

When in Pennsylvania,signs stated no truck's. So we pulled over,I was lookout to make sure we could make it under telephone cables and would fit under bridges.

We then went into a small cafe to eat.

This was a time “independents,” ,went out on strike. We were union. There were snipers on overpasses.

One shot at us. He just !missed my head! When we got back to st.louis,mo. I checked my side of the truck…there was an indentation of a bullet!.

So that was indeed one of m greatest adventures!.
