Class Connections

Participatory Culture and Collaboration - Websites like Glogster and Prezi allow students to share information with each other. Presentations can be shared not just with classmates but the world as well.

Digital Citizenship - The teacher checks each students work looking for plagiarized work. Students who are found to copy others work must resubmit it. The teacher also checks the content to ensure they are using reliable sources for their information.

Handheld Devices - Students so far just use their handheld devices for music purposes but many of the web 2.0 devices can be used on mobile devices.

Social Justice - Students are not forced to use the technology outside of class. Giving the students choice in what they hand allows removes the pressure on those students who do not have access to the internet or a computer at home. All students will have access to the computers while in class.

Flexible Classrooms for the 21st Century - Students who do have access to the internet at home can work outside of class time. This can help for those students who may miss large amounts of class time.

Assessment and Evaluation - Students can hand in work online to be assessed. The teacher can also monitor a student?s progress to ensure they are on task.
